Log Sales

Anybody with experience in the veneer business knows it all begins with the right logs. While manufacturing and marketing veneer is our core business at Erath Veneer, we also market hardwood logs around the world in grades from 2SC through veneer.

Each log we procure for resale is purchased by our veneer mill's log buyers, a critical difference between Erath Veneer and other exporters. These buyers primary focus is on procuring veneer logs and they each spend a significant amount of time in the mill watching their logs being sliced. This gives them a very well trained eye for log qualities. We put the same care into selecting 2SC saw logs for resale as we do selecting A grade veneer logs for sliced production.

Another option for our customers is the ability to select logs for slicing at our own state-of-the-art veneer mill. Whether you require White Oak veneer logs from Ohio and Indiana or Cherry logs from Pennsylvania, our buyers can prepare parcels and have them shipped to our facilities in southwest Virginia where we will prepare them for your inspection. Your logs then transfer directly into our factory for production and can, in many cases, be ready for clipping in as little as one week.
